![]() Six female employees in engineering roles from Finning, the UK and Ireland Caterpillar equipment dealer, have stared in an awareness video to promote the first International Women in Engineering day, held on the 23rd June 2017. Focused on the important role of Women in Engineering, the video asks the question ‘Why the individuals share the Finning passion for engineering’ only revealing half way through, that the answer from each person comes from a woman involved in an engineering role in the business. Commenting on the video and its support for #INWED17, Lynne Smith, HR Manager for Finning UK & Ireland said: “We have been a long-term supporter of the Women’s Engineering Society and really wanted to help it promote the first International Women in Engineering day, as it gives us an opportunity to join with like-minded organisations to promote the importance of attracting female engineers into industry. “By having a day that focuses attention on the amazing careers in engineering and technical roles for women, we can all come together to celebrate the achievements of our outstanding female engineers and engineering managers.
