We have an Alumni student coming in to lead a morning session on Prosthetics, student will be looking at myoelectrics as well as looking at limb components to build prosthetics. They will then be using real life briefs to design and model attachments to help someone who has lost a limb do an activity they wish too, so for example an attachment to hold a paddle board ore etc. At the end of the day students will be presenting their drawings and models Followed by an hour of guest speakers. We have local engineer companies coming in to talk to them from Marine Engineering, Surgical Engineering and structural engineer.
