To celebrate International Women in Engineering Day 2024, the Glasgow and West of Scotland branch invites you to participate in person or online in a panel discussion with 3 women from across a variety of industries in civil engineering.

The in-person event will begin with refreshments and some time for networking with fellow attendees.

To begin the discussion, the panel members will reflect on their experience in the field of civil engineering – what is their current role, and what led to them being in this part of the industry?

This will be followed by deliberation on their experiences in the field, their most challenging project (whether this be personally or technically), and advice on how they have learned from these experiences.

And finally, there will be a discussion on impact – where our three leaders will reflect on their project experiences, and which of those has had the most impact on society, tying in with this year’s theme “enhanced by engineering”.

The panel will then take questions from attendees before an opportunity for final networking.

For those attending the in-person session, please note any accessibility or dietary requirements within the ‘special requests’ section during the booking process.
