For International Women in Engineering Day 2021 the University of Dundee in partnership with the Dundee and Angus Regional STEM Hub will be hosting an online panel and workshop on engaging with STEM. This event will take place on Friday the 25th of June 10.00-12.30.
The event will include a panel including speakers from AFBE-Scotland (Association for Black and Minority Ethnic Engineers), Balfour Beatty construction, SSERC and teachers each giving a very short (under 10 mins) overview of exciting STEM activities they have been involved in, followed by a Q&A session.
This with be followed by an interactive workshop aimed at discussing/ designing/ creating outreach activities, with tangible outputs. We hope to focus on traditionally under-represented groups in STEM and end the event with some exciting projects to collaborate on, with an option to discuss support.
Invited participants include school teachers, career advisors, outreach providers, industry partners, STEM role models and FE and HE staff and students.
