I, Dr. Mee Young SUNG, President of the Women in Science, Engineering and Technology in Korea (WITECK), and Professor of Computer Science & Engineering at Incheon National University.
Founded in 2004, WITECK’s vision is to “empower women engineers to change the world.”
Next year marks our 20th anniversary, and we are honored to celebrate it alongside the proclamation of June 23, 2014, as International Women in Engineering Day (INWED) by your esteemed organization.
We express our gratitude for your efforts in creating such a meaningful day that deserves global celebration.
In light of this historic day, our association is organizing a commemorative symposium under the slogan “Break Barriers, Build Safety on June 23rd, 2023 from 3 pm.”
Our objective is to align with WES’s 2023 pursuit of #makesafetyseen.
We are putting every effort into making this the most successful event to date.
The program consists of an opening ceremony, keynote lectures, and a talk concert.
As part of the program. we would be honored if the President of the Women’s Engineering Society (WES)could give a video congratulatory address or a video keynote lecture.
The voice of the President of the organization that created INWED is crucial to the status of our event, and your message will inspire and motivate women engineers in our country.
We strongly believe that your support and participation would be an immense boost for us, and together.
WES and WITECK can create a more diverse and inclusive world for women engineers.
We eagerly anticipate your positive response.
Thank you for your time and consideration, and I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.
Prof. Mee Young Sung
